Our youth are looking at prayer this spring, and had a chance this week to look deeper into the Lord's Prayer. They had a chance to look at different translations and interpretations of the prayer, and then write their own. Below are their results:
Dear Lord, who is holy, who is true, who is love; help us be like you, give us what we may need to survive and give to those who have little. Lead us forward, through the hard times, for you have protected us forever. Amen :)
Our God, who is ambiguous in form but not in presence (strength, etc.), you are Holy. Send your kingdom's messengers with your will, so that we are prepared to accept your kingdom. Feed and nourish our bodies. And teach us to forgive others as you have forgiven us. Lead us into your loving arms, and towards your grace and mercy. For you're greater in power and glory. Amen.
Our Father, Mother, with us in the world. Your kingdom come, give us the bread that keeps us living. Forgive us for our sins, and lead us down the right path. But save us from evil, for you be our savior, our wonder forever. :) Amen.
Oh creator in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Your mighty kingdom will rise again, and your hard work and dedication to our kind will be in heaven and also on earth. Please forgive us for our wrongings as we forgive others for wronging us. Lead us away from temptation and keep us from evil. All power and glory forever to you. Amen.
Our Creator, uphold the righteousness of thy name. Bring forth your housing and it will be identical. Supply thy bread to keep us going. Help us amend peace, as we do with our enemies. Don't guide us into misery, but help us from evil.
Father uphold the holiness of your name. Your kingdom come. Give us our bread today. Forgive us, and forgive everyone who has wronged us. Don't bring us to the time of trial.
Our father who lives in heaven, uphold the greatness of your name. Come to earth so that your word can be spread. Give us the food we need to eat. Forgive our sins. Lead us away from all that is evil so that the world will be a better place. :)
Our Creator and Sustainer, hallowed be thy name. Bring your kingdom, so that your will is done on earth as it is done in heaven. Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us the ways we have wronged you, just as we have also forgiven those who have wronged us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. You reign in the glory of the power of Love, now & forever. Amen.
Our father, earth maker, life giver: Your kingdom come, it will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us the bread and forgive our mistakes and lead us not into temptation, but take us from evil. For this is the kingdom forever. Amen.
Creator and Sustainer, God of Manna and Mercy, reveal who you are and plant your presence here. May your reign echo throughout the universe with peace and justice. Give to all just what we each need to be sistined. Help us discern what is right through thoughtful prayer and prayerful thought that we may be released of our offenses, as we release those who have wronged us. Keep us safe from ourselves, for we walk crookedly in the world, and rescue us from the misery of evil. For yours is the reign, the marvelous works, and praise for and through all eternity. Amen.
Our Creator who resides in heaven, holy is your name. Your kingdom come, we will do on earth as is done in heaven. Provide us our daily rations. Forgive us our sins, and we shall forgive others. Lead us away from temptations and keep us from evil. For your Kingdom holds power & glory always. Amen.

Our father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come - Your will be don on earth as it is in heaven. Give us each our daily bread, and forgive us our sins as we have forgiven others. And don't lead us into temptation but rescue us from evil.
Our Father who art in heaven, give us your blessing to forgive us of all the things we have done bad, and give us the power to overcome the evil over us. Amen
Our Father who art in heaven, see the world right. Do what's best, as above so below. Strengthen us. Lead us to holy innocence beyond the evil of our days. And lead us not into exploitation. Let us not delight in victory. Amen
Our Father whom likes in all. Set the world into it's better place. Give us a meal day & night as you forgive us while we forgive others. Keep us safe from falling below, but instead rescue us from the fall.
To the Holy one who created us and all things, may your name be known throughout the world. Please give us all that we need to survive each day. Release us from the debts we can never repay and give us the grace to release others from theirs. Don't steer us in the wrong direction but guide every one of our steps. May you reign throughout all eternity. Amen.
